Pineapple Drinks for Camping: 3 No-Fuss Recipes

Three refreshing pineapple drink recipes designed for tent camping: a creamy coconut-pineapple cooler, a spicy pineapple-ginger fizz, and a simple pineapple-lime agua fresca. None require a blender or fresh ice, and all can be made with minimal gear.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pineapple juice (canned or bottled)
  • 1 cup canned coconut milk (full-fat, shaken)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (fresh or bottled)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey optional, to taste
  • 1 cup ginger beer (non-alcoholic) for the fizz variation
  • 1 cup sparkling water for the agua fresca variation
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger optional, for the fizz
  • 4 fresh pineapple wedges for garnish

Method

  1. For the Coconut-Pineapple Cooler: In a large quart-size jar or bottle, combine 2 cups pineapple juice, 1 cup coconut milk, and 2 tablespoons lime juice. Shake or stir well. Taste and add maple syrup if you want it sweeter. Pour into cups over any ice you have. Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
  2. For the Spicy Pineapple-Ginger Fizz: In each serving cup, add a pinch of grated fresh ginger. Pour 1/2 cup of the base mixture (from step 1) over the ginger. Top with 1/4 cup ginger beer. Stir gently. Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
  3. For the Pineapple-Lime Agua Fresca: In a large jar, combine 2 cups pineapple juice, 2 tablespoons lime juice, and 2 cups sparkling water. Stir gently. Pour into cups over ice. Garnish with a lime slice or pineapple wedge.
  4. To serve all three: Fill each cup about halfway with ice (if you have it). Pour the drink over the ice. Add garnishes just before serving.
