Healthy Grape Salads for Camping: A Cool, Crunchy Side Dish

A refreshing, no-cook grape salad with a tangy yogurt dressing, crunchy almonds, and a touch of honey. Perfect for a light lunch or side dish at the campsite.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups seedless red grapes washed and halved
  • 4 cups seedless green grapes washed and halved
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt full-fat or 2%
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest optional
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds toasted
  • 1/4 cup pecans chopped, optional
  • 1 pinch salt fine sea salt

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry the grapes thoroughly. Halve them crosswise and place in a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, honey, lemon zest (if using), and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the grapes and gently fold until evenly coated.
  4. Toast the sliced almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring often, until golden and fragrant. Let cool completely.
  5. Just before serving, sprinkle the toasted almonds and chopped pecans (if using) over the salad. Stir lightly.
  6. Keep chilled in a cooler until ready to eat. Serve cold or at cool ambient temperature.
